The First Face You See
Every time you walk into a new place you hope to be greeted warmly and with a smile so you feel welcome there. Veterinary clinics are no exception. It takes a special person to be a veterinary receptionist. Not only do you have to love animals, but you have to love people, too. Veterinary receptionists don’t always get the recognition they deserve, so, in honor of Veterinary Reception Week, we celebrate these important members of our staff.
Point Of Contact
Most of the time veterinary receptionists, or, as we prefer to call them, client service representatives, are the first point of contact you make when you call for an appointment or enter our clinic. Our client service representatives love animals. All of them. Whether they love large animals like horses, small critters like hamsters, fish, or ducks, or more common companions like dogs or cats, each one of our client service representatives loves animals and cares deeply about their well-being.
People Person
Our client service representatives also have the unique characteristic of liking people as much as they like animals. They strive to be:
- Friendly
- Warm
- Compassionate
- Supportive to pet parents
- Professional
- Calm
In every way, each of our client service representatives is a people person and an animal person.
More Than A Friendly Face
At first glance, our client service representatives may seem like just another friendly face. While they remain calm in what can occasionally be chaos, our client service representatives are highly organized professionals who juggle:
- Answering and making telephone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Managing medical records
- Processing payments
- Serving as a liaison between you, the pet parent, and the veterinary medical staff
Their goal is to provide highly personalized, high-quality assistance to you while providing reassurance to both you and your beloved pet. They work to alleviate some of your stresses and concerns about your pet’s well-being.
In turn, they allow veterinarians and veterinary technicians to focus on your pet’s health and medical needs. They relay important information to veterinarians and technicians, ensuring that each patient receives the personalized care they need. By fostering open communication and collaboration, they help facilitate the best possible outcomes for pets and their families. Our client service representatives enjoy and advocate for pets (and wildlife) as both a vocation and an avocation. Our office couldn’t function properly without them.
